Lassiter STEM Academy
Welcome to Lassiter's STEM Academy
LHS STEM Academy offers a rigorous inquiry and research based education program focusing on two pathways: Biomedical Science and Engineering. The STEM curriculum culminates with student designed senior capstone research and internships connecting with local business and institution partners for real world experiences.
LHS STEM students are required to take STEM specific science, math, and foundations courses based on the pathway selected. However, the students take the rest of their courses at an honors or AP level with other highly accelerated Lassiter students. We are constantly adjusting and adding to our curriculum to meet the needs and expectations of our students.
The Lassiter STEM Academy Application for the 2024-2025 school year is now closed.
The application will remain open until 11:59 pm on December 1, 2023. Applications received after that time will not be considered for admission. Please carefully review all the information in the application. If you have any questions please email meredith.koester@cobbk12.org. Thank you and we look forward to receiving your application!

Lassiter STEM Academy Earns PLTW Distinguished Recognition!
For the fourth year, Lassiter High School has been designated as a Distinguished High School by Project Lead the Way. The recognition honors schools committed to increasing student access, engagement and achievement in the areas of biomedical science and engineering.
Lassiter was one of only a few high schools in the state and only one of 426 in the country to receive this honor! Thank you to the continued support of our staff and STEM members in upholding the rigors of the STEM Academy!
Please support the Academy by donating to the Lassiter STEM Foundation.
